Breakfast Tournament #2: Red, White and Blue

June 23The Hidden Creek Breakfast Tournaments provide a season long competition which offers the opportunity for all MGA golfers to meet, socialize and play competitive golf with a variety of partners chosen by computer. Daily prizes will be awarded for the low net teams. B-Team vs. Fairfax

The B-Team is open to all Hidden Creek MGA members with a course handicap between 5 and 16. Hidden Creek fields 12 players for each match, six at home and six away. In 2017, the team made the playoffs for the second time in club history. We also won our first playoff match. This year we plan to resume that winning tradition.

2019 MGA President's Cup

July 6 and 7 --The President's Cup is the premier stroke-play event of the tournament season. Open to all members of the Hidden Creek MGA, it is the first opportunity to qualify for the Championship flight of the Club Championship. (Players may elect to have their two scores counted as a qualifying rounds.)

All play is from white tees. Players receive 100% of their Course Handicap. Prizes awarded for gross and net. The gross winner qualifies as 2nd seed in Championship Flight for the HCCC Club Champions... Learn more

2019 MGA Memorial

Sunday, July 28 -- Form a two-man scramble team for a one-day, casual tournament honoring past members of Hidden Creek Country Club.

Two-man net scramble. Must use 5 tee shots and 5 second shots for each player. Play is from the white tees.

Club Championship

August 16, 17, 18 -- The Club Championship is a flighted, match play event offering players at all levels an opportunity to compete for a champion's trophy.

The event includes flights for all handicap levels plus the Championship flight, from which this year Club Champion will emerge.

All members are invited to qualify for the Championship flight. All other participants are flighted according to their handicap.

Member-Member

October 3, 4, 5 -- The Member-Member is a two-day, four-ball competition similar in format to the Member-Guest. Teams compete in five nine-hole matches within six-team flights. This year's field is capped at 60 two-man teams.

Iron Man/Iron Woman

February 22 and 23, 2020-- Kick off the golf season with one of the most challenging formats of the year. The Iron Man/Iron Woman is a two-day stroke-play event with men teeing off from the Blue tees and Women teeing off from the Whites. The early season conditions make for an especially challenging weekend.

Hidden Madness

Saturday, March 21 -- Take your best shot on 15 in this bracket-style, one-shot elimination event. In this elimination skills event, 64 players complete in a match play event where the player with the closest shot to the hole wins and advances to the next round. As in the NCAA basketball tournament, players are seeded by handicap in four 16-player brackets.

The winning player advances to the next round.

Bracket selection takes place in the Tavern Thursday, March 14, at 6:00 pm.

MGA Cup

April 1-October 15 The MGA Cup is a season-long match play tournament. Field divided into 8-player flights based on handicap Index (as of March 15). Matches played using 100% of the Course Handicap on date played, with strokes given based on the lower handicap player. All play from white tees. Flight winners (and wildcards if needed) are randomly seeded into a 16-player finals bracket to determine the overall tournament winner.

Two-Man Challenge

New Dates. June 13 and 14 As its name implies, the "Challenge" is a fun two-man event. Find a partner to play in a series of formats, including two-man scramble, better-ball, alternate shot and individual stroke play.

The event is a unique 36-hole, two-man net tournament using multiple formats. Men's Member Guest

June 18, 19, 20, 2020 -- From year to year the Hidden Creek Member-Guest continues to surpass expectations and top the performances of previous year's events.

The Member-Guest is a three-day, four-ball competition similar in format to the Member-Member.

Teams compete in five nine-hole matches within six-team flights. On Friday each team plays three matches. Saturday each team plays two matches.

2021 B-Team

The 2020 B-Team season consists of four interclub matches beginning June 25 against Westwood.

The B-Team is open to all Hidden Creek MGA members with a course handicap between 5 and 16. Hidden Creek fields 12 players for each match, six at home and six away. The captains select the six two-man teams for each match from the pool of interested and available players.

In 2017, the team made the playoffs for the second time in club history. We also won our first playoff match. This year we plan to resume that winning tradition.
