Hidden Madness

Saturday, March 19 -- Take your best shot on 15 in this bracket-style, one-shot elimination event. In this elimination skills event, 64 players complete in a match play event where the player with the closest shot to the hole wins and advances to the next round. As in the NCAA basketball tournament, players are seeded by handicap in four 16-player brackets.

The winning player advances to the next round.

Bracket selection takes place in the Tavern Thursday, March 14, at 6:00 pm.

MGA Cup

April 1-October 15 The MGA Cup is a season-long match play tournament. Field divided into 8-player flights based on handicap Index (as of March 15). Matches played using 100% of the Course Handicap on date played, with strokes given based on the lower handicap player. Play from gold and white tees. Flight winners (and wildcards if needed) are randomly seeded into a 16-player finals bracket to determine the overall tournament winner.

Green Coat

April 22, 23, 24 -- Since 1980, the Green Coat has been the first major of the MGA season and is considered by many to be the most prestigious. This year marks the 43rd time members will compete for the coveted Green Coat.

Breakfast Tournament #1

Sunday, May 1 The Hidden Creek Men's Golf Association (MGA) organizes and sponsors, in coordination with the Pro Shop, three Breakfast Tournaments each year. Breakfast Tournaments provide a season-long competition and the opportunity for all MGA golfers to meet, socialize and play competitive golf with a variety of partners chosen by computer. Two-Man Challenge

May 21 - May 22 As its name implies, the "Challenge" is a fun two-man event. Find a partner to play in a series of formats, including two-man scramble, better-ball, alternate shot and individual stroke play.

The event is a unique 36-hole, two-man net tournament using multiple formats. Senior Club Championship

June 4 and June 5 The Senior Club Championship is an individual stroke play event open to all members 50 years of age and above. Participants in the Super Senior division must be 65 years old or older; play is from the gold tees. Gross and Net prizes. Players receive 100% of their Course Handicap.

Super Senior Club Championship

June 4 -June 5 Played simultaneously with the Senior Club Championship, the Super Senior Club Championship is a stroke play event including MGA members age 65 and over.

The Super Senior is played from the gold tees.

Men's Member Guest

June 17, 18, 19 -- From year to year the Hidden Creek Member-Guest continues to surpass expectations and top the performances of previous year's events.

The Member-Guest is a three-day, four-ball competition similar in format to the Member-Member.

Teams compete in five nine-hole matches within six-team flights. On Friday each team plays three matches. Saturday each team plays two matches.

Breakfast Tournament #2

June 27 The Hidden Creek Men's Golf Association (MGA) organizes and sponsors three Breakfast Tournaments each year. The MGA started these tournaments several years ago with the objective of affording members the opportunity to play with golfers they normally might not meet or play with. MGA Memorial

A wait list will start at 50 teams

Sunday, July 31 -- Form a two-man scramble team for a one-day, casual tournament honoring past members of Hidden Creek Country Club. The Memorial is a shot-gun start so the field is capped to 50 two-man teams, 25 foursomes.

Two-man net scramble. Must use 5 tee shots and 5 second shots for each player. Play is from the white tees.

MGA President's Cup

July 10 and 11 --The President's Cup is the premier stroke-play event of the tournament season. Open to all members of the Hidden Creek MGA, it is the first opportunity to qualify for the Championship flight of the Club Championship. (Players may elect to have their two scores counted as a qualifying rounds.)

Championship Flight Qualifying

The Championship Flight of the Club Championships features 16 qualifiers competing in a four round match play tournament contested to determine the Hidden Creek Club Champion.

Individuals seeking to participate in the 2021 Champions Flight must complete two stroke-play qualifying rounds between July 12 and August 8. Players who elect to and announce their intentions in advance, may use two rounds from the annual President's Cup tournament as qualifying rounds.

Club Championship

August 13, 14, 15 -- The Club Championship is a flighted, match play event offering players at all levels an opportunity to compete for a champion's trophy.

The event includes flights for all handicap levels plus the Championship flight, from which this year Club Champion will emerge.
