Eligibility: Open to all current members of the HCCC MGA.
Teams: Teams are comprised of four players with a combined handicap of 50 or higher. Each team may have no more than two players with a single-digit handicap. The maximum handicap for any one player is 36.
Handicaps: Player handicaps are calculated from the white tees by averaging all of the previous seasonâs indexes between April 1 and October 15.
Saturday format: Four-Man Team Scramble · All players may hit a tee shot. . Players 59 and under tee off from the white tees. . Players 60 and over tee off from the gold tees. · Each player must contribute at least three tee shots · Four players hit each shot in scramble
Sunday format: Elimination scramble · All players may hit a tee shot. · A and B players tee off from the blue tees (players 60 and over tee off from the white tees). · C and D players tee off from the white tees (players 60 and over tee off from the gold tees). · Each player must contribute at least three tee shots · The player whose shot was selected is eliminated from hitting the next shot. This process continues through the green on each hole.
Elimination Format Penalties Any intentional or unintentional violation of the elimination rule on Sunday must be corrected prior to teeing off on the next hole. If the illegal shot was not used further, the penalty shall be two strokes under USGA rule 7.2 regarding practice. If the illegal shot was actually used by the team in completion of the hole, the penalty shall be disqualification.
